How Does It Work?
It uses muscles to test the body’s energy systems. Each particular muscle that is tested in kinesiology is linked with a certain organ or
part of the body. Kinesiology is a method of testing muscles to determine how well they function, therefore using their response as a yardstick.
It's a holistic treatment that addresses the physical/structural, emotional/mental and chemical (nutritional) aspects of the body.
Posture of the body is maintained by tension in the muscles, imagine a tent held by guy ropes, all have
to be correctly tensioned, if one or more is slack or too tight, the tent pole will not be vertical until
all are correctly adjusted. This principal can be applied to our bodies. Therefore muscles work in pairs –
if a muscle is tight its opposing muscle will have weakness eg weak abdominal muscles can cause an achy
tight back. The reason a muscle maybe weak: inadequate nutrition, blood supply, lymphatic drainage,
physical shock and emotional disturbances. Kinesiology can test for these and determine which are the
contributing factors and remedy them by correcting any of these imbalances. This in turn improves the
energy flow through the muscle’s corresponding organ or part of the body.

What Happens At A Session?
A confidential consultation will be taken at the first session, about the client’s health and the reason they have come for the treatment.
The client will then be asked to lay comfortably on a treatment couch or if less mobile can sit on a chair, clothes remain on during the entire
session. The practitioner will then perform a selection of muscle tests on the client by asking the client to hold a particular position eg with
their arm. The practitioner will gently push the arm and the client is asked to resist the gentle pressure. This will help both the client and the
practitioner determine how well that muscle is functioning. Using this method the practitioner is able to carry out the required treatment and
to help achieve bringing balance back to the body’s systems.
Who Can Benefit?
- Anyone, young or old, male or female, even babies or the frail can be treated
- Lots of us wait until something is wrong with us until we seek treatment, if we all
had a kinesiology balancing session at least once a month, this would be preventative
health care and we would all be happier, healthier and able to tackle what life has to
throw at us!
